ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL

Emma Brookes A.I.S.T.D

Emma gained her teaching qualifications and a diploma in Musical Theatre and dance at the Brian Roggers Performers College. Since leaving college, Emma has performed in events for different production companies including a season at Euro Disney together with widening her teaching experience in various Schools. Emma began teaching at Newport village hall under Sonia Manning before starting her own classes in Ugley and then combining all branches together to form Footlights Theatre Dance School in December2005. As well as running her own school Emma is still committed to another highly respected school in Bishop Stortford which has been running for over 25 years.

Emma attends regular courses run by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and is currently working on the latest update from the ISTD which will advance her teaching qualifications further being recognized by the QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) and the UK government for dance teachers.
