W/c 8th February 2010

Hi All,

Just a short newsletter this time round to repeat the dates for your diary to keep you updated as we go through the term as our watch weeks will change with the amount of events exams and shows we have coming up classes will be busy and we will need to keep some surprises back for the show as you will have seen it all before we even get to it :o)

Fetes & festivals

Classes Grade 1 and above and all jazz classes have all been given a letter this term to advise of the dates for a few events we have been asked to take part in if you have been given a letter can you please return ASAP to be able to take part. Even if you do not wish to take part can you please return the slip to let me know. I did label all the letters myself so everyone in the classes above should have received a copy however if you think you may have missed the letter please let me know.

Exams

I think I may have approached everyone now but can those taking part in the exam session on the 7th March please check they have all the appropriate uniform needed for the day and advise me straight away if there is anything you need.

Feedback questionnaires

A big thank you for all those that took the time to complete the questionnaires I just wanted to clear up/address some of the points and query’s made.

There was mixed feelings on the subject of exams so I think the best way to proceed is to continue to study for the exams and will continue to offer them if when students are ready the sessions are supported. I cannot continue to book exam sessions if there are not enough to take part as the association will only allow a school to hold them in their own venues if there is a full session of students or we will have to join with another school to take the exam.

Elsenham classes will remain at Elsenham with the same timetable as we currently have.

Those that were interested in adult tap classes there is a class that runs on a Monday at Newport village hall at 6.30 – 7.15. This isn’t a beginner’s class but if you wanted to attend and work at your own pace this is possible and should there be enough interest I can look at starting a beginner’s class.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Faye on her new job which we are lucky enough fits around her Monday commitments with us. Faye now works with Apex multisports in there dance department taking dance into schools, colleges and universities in and around Hertfordshire.

Faye also continues to update her skills at North London dance studios bringing even more experience and knowledge to the school.

I hope this covers everything for this term please find below an updated dates table which will also be updated on our website across the next couple of weeks

Thanks

Emma
