Newsletter October 2008
Hi all,
We’re now getting into the swing of the first term Summer is officially over
(well what we had of summer!).
Exams
Unfortunately we have had to postpone the exam session planned in for November
as there are not enough students wanting to take part this time. We will now
concentrate on preparing for the pantomime and then continue with the exam
preparation after February for a summer exam session.
Pantomime
Most of you may know we have been invited to feature in the NATS pantomime in
February.
Due to limited space at the venue and to make it a little easier for the younger
children at the evening performances there will be an A and B cast for
Pre-school and Primary classes, as listed below.
Scheduled rehearsal and performance dates are listed below. (Please note there
will be more dates to follow nearer the time if needed)
Sunday 1st February
– all day rehearsal as above
Wednesday 4th February
– Technical rehearsal 7.30pm – 9.30pm (times may vary due to the amount to cover
on this date as this is where will arrange all lighting and sound)
Friday 6th February – evening performance (Cast A Newport Pre school
and Primary + rest of the school)
Saturday 7th February – Matinee performance (Cast B Elsenham Pre
school and Primary + rest of the school)
Saturday 7th February – Evening performance (Cast A Newport Pre
school and primary + rest of the school)
Sunday 8th February – Matinee performance (Cast B Elsenham Pre school
and primary + rest of the school)
Those that are involved in certain numbers of the pantomime will be required to
attend a couple of Wednesday rehearsals with myself and the NATs group to slot
together the staging where needed. This will be from 7.30 onwards, January,
dates to follow.
There may also be occasions where class times change to rehearsal times nearer
the time.
More rehearsal details to be confirmed towards the end of the term.
If there is anyone that has a problem or any concerns with any of the
times/dates above please let me know as soon as possible to make arrangements
easier to make.
Also on a personal note myself and Brad are expecting our first baby due in
April. Cover will be brought in to cross over with myself in the early part of
next year to ensure everyone is happy with their classes before I need to depart
for a few weeks. I will still be your point of contact throughout for any
questions or concerns should I not be available at anytime you can speak to
Julie on the home number below who will be able to help.
I hope this has covered everything however as always please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Many Thanks
Emma
