WELCOME BACK!

Dear Parents,

Welcome back after the summer break I hope you all had a fantastic summer.

 Before I go on to what’s happening this term I would just like to thank you all again for the support for the show last term and a massive well done to all the students they were all fantastic I am very proud thank you!!!

The feedback has been overwhelming such a great response thank you to everyone for their feedback and cards.

 As you know we had a parent volunteer to take a DVD of the show for us, so we aren’t producing a professional DVD however it will give you something to keep to remember your great performance. As it is not professionally produced we are only asking for half the price at £7.

There is an order form attached if you wish to place an order for a copy, copies are available until the end of the Winter term (December).

 A quick look ahead at some of what our classes are working on for the next couple of terms.

Singing and Musical Theatre watch week

Due to the success of last year’s watch week performance for the above classes, this year we will follow the same format.

On the 8^th December at 6.00 the Singing and Musical Theatre classes will present what they have been working on for the term on the stage at Ugley village hall. We welcome parents and students from any class as well as those from the above classes to come along and be our audience for the performance. Its great if we can get them a decent size audience to perform to. So if you can make the watch week performances please do let me know just so we have an idea of who we are expecting.

 The Singing classes have come on leaps and bounds since starting last October and we are still looking to fill and add additional slots across the timetable, if you are interested please do let me know.

 Dance classes watch week

 All other classes on the timetable (all dance classes) will have their watch week on the last week of term which is the week commencing 12^th December. On this week we will also invite students to come to class wearing any Christmas accessories they would like to wear. Although can I please ask children still wear their uniform as well as I think it’s nice for parents to see watch week in uniform.

Spring term exam session

 We are now starting to work on the next exam session for those classes that study the exam syllabus. As always the exams are not compulsory but you will get a letter if we feel your child is ready this will contain all the information and fee’s for the exam with an opportunity to say whether you wish to take part or not. We will only put forward children we feel are ready for the exams so as not to put them under any extra stress and there will be other opportunities at a later date so please don’t worry if your child is not ready for this session.

The dates need to be confirmed by the ISTD but we are looking for a Sunday around February, March time.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new students and parents we have had this term.
